P-100 UAV Laser Communication Terminal

We have redefined data transmission through cutting-edge laser technology and by developing the world’s smallest laser terminal for long-distance communication. Our P-100 is the only Free Space Optical (FSO) terminal optimized for aerial platforms, drones, and UAVs. With a weight of approximately 1.5 kg, it is small, but immensely powerful. Our P-100 laser terminal achieves a bidirectional data rate of 1 Gbps over a distance of up to 40 km and is virtually impossible to jam, detect or locate.

The communication equipment is highly resilient to interferences and provides satellite navigation/GNSS substitution capability, this means that our laser communication  terminal offers a substitute in the event of disrupted satellite-based navigation. In addition, country-specific registration, approval and licensing of communication frequencies are not necessary.

The current terminal has a symmetric setup, being fully bidirectional with the same system on the flight platform and on the ground. Core technologies include:

• Pointing, acquisition, and tracking (PAT) technologies in aerial applications
• Technologies for laser links through the atmosphere
• Design of the optical core based on low-cost technologies
• Eye-safe as class 1M equipment (infrared: 1.550 nm wavelength)
• Plug-and-play equipment as replacement or add-on for existing data link equipment
