About Us
Cucuyo was founded in 2020 and is a start-up company that manufactures laser-based communication products for a wide range of applications. Even though the company itself is young,
the
founding
team has been active in the field of communications, drones, space, and defense for 20+ years, and the
management has
well-established contacts in the industry.
We solve critical communication issues of the fast-growing UAV market with by orders of magnitude increased data rates and make communication resilient to interference or jamming. Our original technology background comes from the German Aerospace Center DLR Oberpfaffenhofen. In the past our leading-expert team has already developed and flown many different types of laser communication systems for air, space, and stratosphere, having accumulated more than 50 years of experience in the field of laser communication.
